<p>This is actually something I have never thought about this deeply before. We are so comfortable saying “you look like your mother” but somehow when the resemblance shows up in your accent or the way you speak, it becomes something to laugh at or correct. And the “go” becoming “gho” part 😂😂. We really need to learn to stop treating our own accents like something embarrassing.</p>
