Hi Chefor, have you considered the impact of generational trauma on dysfunctional families? The background of the spouse, including the influence of intruding or fighting parents, can have a profound effect on the dynamics within a marriage. Understanding and addressing these underlying issues can be crucial in breaking the cycle of dysfunctionality. Sources: Psychology Today, "Generational Trauma: How We Can Heal Our Suffering"

Thank you Chefor for your insightful suggestions on overcoming trauma from dysfunctional backgrounds. It's important to remember that seeking help and making positive changes can lead to healthier relationships. In addition to therapy and self-care, creating boundaries and practicing effective communication can also make a difference in fostering a supportive environment within the family. Remember, it's never too late to work towards building a stronger and happier home environment.

Thank you Amina. Most dysfunctional homes today is just a reflection of spouses dysfunctional background that affected them. To overcome these trauma, a number of things can be put into play. 1, get a therapist for psychosocial support. 2, educate yourself and practice personal health care safety. 3, avoid toxic family relationships and stick closer to a healthy relationship. 4, learn to express your feelings and emotions. At the same time, challenge every negativity and have a positive mind about change.
