<p>You know I've actually never thought about it to this extent; men in the west keep hair, and as someone brought up in African where men with hair especially braids were seen as less "macho", men with braids to not be fully "manly"; I don't really know how it got there all I've ever known is a man who's put together can't really be braiding hair; so much reflecting needed on this!!</p>

The reasons go way deeper than you can imagine. That's why I'd like to hear from others. Because this could actually change a lot in perspective and how things would be approached for example in day-to-day activities.
