I completely agree. Taking accountability should take precedence over forgiveness. Why should you even ideally forgive anybody who doesn’t show remorse? If not for maturity, to unburden oneself and because you cannot constantly be at odds all the time with ppl who wrong you, someone like me would never forgive anyone who doesn’t take responsibility for their actions. But sadly we live in a world where you’ll be villainized for doing so lol.

“…sadly we live in a world where you’ll be villainized for doing so” is the truth! Because people often judge your reactions and not how their actions prompted them. People who take responsibility for their actions have my respect.
