<p>This one is intense. The way the piece moves from counting and checking to emotional instability, then to memories that the body still carries, makes the reader feel the confusion rather than just hear about it.</p><p>And that ending is probably my favourite part. “I wondered if he had been counting too.” It quietly brings everything back to the beginning and makes you rethink the entire piece. Very haunting.</p>
