<p>This is a worthy debate</p><p>&gt;&gt;if everything is already determined, what exactly are we doing when we make choices?</p><p>The fact that you don't treat determinism as something to dismiss immediately, is something to pay attention to</p><p>Acknowledging that circumstances, causes, religion, environment and even events beyond our control can shape our lives.</p><p>But I think the strongest part of your argument is your conclusion.</p><p>Maybe free will does not mean having complete control over everything…</p>
