<p>That line “value and substance are thrown outside the window in favor of who looks the most pleasing standing next to you in an Instagram photo” really struck me. I’ve seen it happen firsthand friendships that looked perfect online but had no real depth offline. At the end of the day, when life gets heavy, filters and pretty pictures can’t hold you up; only genuine people can.</p>
