<p>The root cause of rape is the fact that the perpetrators are always allowed to go Scott free. Even if the case is tried, the perpetrator(s) will 90% of the time come out as not guilty and will still do the same thing again. A failed justice system is also one of the many causes.</p>

You are absolutely right. When a system consistently lets perpetrators walk free, it sends a loud message that there are no real consequences and once a predator believes that, they repeat the cycle without fear. It’s a painful reminder that we have a lot more work to do as a society if we truly want to help and protect victims who have been failed again and again by the very system meant to defend them.
