I mean who are you bragging for? What's the essence? If it's to glorify oneself and seeking of validation then it's not a testimony to begin with. Evidence is actually the end of argument yunno. That's why people come with evidences when testifying.
Like the case of the lion and the pit, maybe just maybe if evidence was provided it would be worth believing. That doesn't mean God can't do the extraordinary don't quote me wrong. It's just that it's a whole totally different thing.
You know one funny thing? The ones complaining the most of pastors lavishing their money on themselves and their family, actually have nothing in the first place.
It's just like the saying "let the men with the gold worry about gold diggers". I understand your point. Regardless, it's the normalcy that some people have established in the system that makes others exaggerate their testimonies. In my church, the pastor would always warn against false/fake testimonies. Which is normal.
not really know how to express themselves properly and that's why it looks like these testimonies are fabricated. Back to the offering and tithe, and I'm not shading anybody, but if you ask some people in the congregation how much they put as offering that the said pastor will want to eat it, they cannot speak. God will sha help everybody in the end.
