<p>One reason I stopped reading some Nigerian literature especially now was because the cultures in Nigeria are misrepresented, suffering was over glorified and made the core of the book, or simply westernizing basic things we do. it made me lose interest and I told myself, unless I find a truly well written Nigerian novel, nothing is gonna make me go back. My friend was trying to write a fantasy book, while I applaud him for it, he made the action scenes look like anime...</p>

...and I love anime, but reading that made my brain cells and my imagination weep at the same time. If you have any good recommendations regardless of the genre, I'll try my best to give them a chance.
