<p>You have shed light on something really important <a class="tc-blue" href="/public_profile-chefor-eugene-321/">@cheforeugene</a> , not just with this insight, but with your previous posts and some much older ones...</p><p>....the need to and important of preserving our mother tongue and by extention, many other aspects of our rihh cultures.</p><p>As someone who spent the first 10 years of his life in Europe, and then came back to Nigeria...time and experience have shown me the importance of knowing your language and ensuring it's passed down to generations...</p>

It's really interesting that your village is so rich in culture and blessed with 15 languages!

I can see the passion you have for the preservation of the different mother tongues, I do hope there's some positive change as you said.

Thank you very much sir @cyrusmajebi, my village is at a crossroad. It has fast become a cosmopolitan town with more that 15 language group settling there. In Nkwen today, it's very difficult for just the mother tongue to be use. Those who can speak find pride in speaking the English language with their children, this have made many children see the mother tongue as trash. I share this insight with pain in my heart, hoping that there will be positive charge.
