<p>With time, I developed a completely different outlook on this...</p><p>....I dispeled all negative notions about Yoruba from my mind, and slowly started speaking it and learning it...</p><p>Today, I'm still not super great at it...but I'm proud to say I understand really well and speak at a...somewhat decent level.</p><p>I mean, the Russian that I grew up speaking, the owners of the language aren't ashamed of it...it's theirs...so why won't I be proud of and bold to speak mine?!</p>
