<p>I think the crux of your post is something really important...</p><p>...it's a super fine balance to strike, that sweet spot between not being a people pleaser and an overall sucker/simp...and being a truly likeable person.</p><p>Again, it's super hard to strike that balance ...but I hold the belief that those who are able to find that balance will probably live much happier lives.</p><p>The world, particularly this part of the world has a way of making "nice" people feel "dumb" about their niceness...</p>

What or who you are.

I've seen nice people who aren't used. It's just a matter of balancing the equation.

Like Cyrus said " be smart and firm enough to cut of bad people"!. People who don't reciprocate your energy.

I think my point was clear though.

But you have a valid point also. Not everyone would be able to strike that balance, and the few people who can truly probably have the most happier lives.

I think being a kind or nice doesn't mean you should be "foolish". And maybe that is where standards and boundaries comes in.

Also be a nice person without expectations from people. I know it's hard, but the universe is not that wicked to bring you people of opposite intention. I believe you attract....
