As I'm thinking about it, youre right...I think if pain (and its downstream consequences like depression and sadness) and happiness were both literal or figurative universal languages, more people will be fluent in "pain" than "happiness".

It's the sad reality of being in this world.

@cyrusmajebi I agree with Fa Ye's insight, though happiness isn't exactly a universal language hence not everyone gets to experience that, but pain is a universal language, we feel it somehow someway, but still, allowing the pain dictate who we become should be avoided, difficult but possible.. There are some levels of pain that brings a great sense of disappointment, sadness, or hatred towards a person, but letting it rule us and change us shouldn't be the next solution to contain..

Fa Ye's view on pain is on a deeper level and from my view its actually gives off that emotion that comes with pain, which is sadness and mostly depression.

Its true, no one can actually live through life without feeling a sense of pain at one point in their life. And as Fa Ye put it "drowning in a sea of sorrows" sadly, pain can do that effectively especially when its coming from the deepest part of the heart..
