<p>....it wasn't exactly indirect racism in the experience I shared (or maybe it was), this one was probably born out of true naivety.</p><p>"....someone closes their door as you walk by"....mehn, I've got tons of experiences with that...growing up in Russia brought more of direct, unadulterated racism...where folks will call you names like "chirna maza"...which translates roughly as "painted or pasted black"..</p><p>The indirect racism encounters came during a time when I visited the US...</p>
