<p>You see, patriarchy is bad. But do you know what can be even worse? The pick-me, male-centred women who uphold it.</p><p>You birth a child and somehow believe you're doing that child a favour simply by sending her to school, as though she doesn't deserve anything beyond education.</p><p>And in some parts of Igbo land, women are still denied inheritance and family properties simply because they are women.</p><p>Sometimes, the biggest enforcers of patriarchy are the women who have been taught to defend it.</p>
