<p>I really enjoyed all four reads on the architecture of the elements; each one showed a fresh way to see freedom, persistence, power, and change. This last piece on water feels so true; its strength is in how it adapts without losing itself.</p><p>How do you think our cities today can learn from water, to stay flexible but still keep their identity?</p><p>And this should have been made into a series. Just my 2cents...</p>

I still believe cities and nations must find core principles that unite them and change around those things as the world enforces. New materials and techniques can be used if necessary but then they become new Ways to express what is at the core. I have a long form piece titled : "States, Societies, and the face of Lagosian Residential Architecture" that starts to explore how. even though some of my positions have changed, it generally lays out my thoughts.
