This hair debate with men has trailed and trolled me for years - my Mom been the predator and I the prey.

Now that I am grown and free (not entirely though ... 🤣), i have been keeping this pretty streamlined Afro-punk ....

But I'm sure she would mention it when next I go visiting her.

He reasons: You need to look smart. It's all those aggro that used to leave their hair full. 🤣🤣🤣

I have always said I would plait my sons hair from young cos I love it. When he grows older, he can decide what style he so ever chooses.

I can imagine.

Whereas it is not hair that determines someone's personality. It's not fair to me, though.

Courage with your mum.

I have a son, and I bet you, I'd instead encourage him to keep his hair when he grows older. That is, if he would want to.

So we definitely see the generational differences in mindsets.
