Your opinion is extremely valid, but I think some specifics will help. First, some of these are applicable to a certain age grade of Igbo men, who have known nothing but business all their lives (especially at the expense of formal education).A typical Igbo man wants nothing more than to honour his wife and children, above himself. They're basically a reflection of his own wealth, and he'd do anything to make her happy.Acceptance is important in marriage, to avoid in-law drama, generally🙏

The most important thing may actually be to marry a man who loves you.

I know that Igbo men throw that pride and everything else away when they really love a woman. Their everyday mantra becomes singing their wives' praises and giving them more reasons to remain happy with the man they married.

The love for his wife automatically transfers to the children. As long as he's alive and can, they get nothing but the absolute best.
