This i won't call Self awareness,

I think paranoia is better suitable word for it

Self awareness makes you aware of yourself enough to know what should be and not, what your strengths and weaknesses are and so on.

But paranoia is something that I believe emanates from people constantly pointing out your insecurities that you become so aware of it and very defensive and paranoid about it.

That's exactly what was explained here....

But then we shouldn't be self conscious in the wrong way....

I think you’re right. Paranoia fits better than self-awareness. Everyone made self-awareness sound like simply understanding yourself, your strengths, flaws, and how to navigate life. I didn’t realize that becoming more aware of that awareness could flip everything inside out. When people constantly point out your insecurities, awareness can become hypervigilance, defensiveness, and eventually becomes being paranoia.
