<p>I guess we all have our own different opinions on this matter. Whether or not it’s a cultural or professional settings, it’s wise to read the room and apologize when he clearly wasn’t okay with how he was addressed and he has worked for that respect.</p><p>I don’t know why we want to be expressing other people’s culture in our homeland.</p>

Well, in all these our opinions are just going to be ours because it won’t change his opinion and what has happened already. When I’m in such a place, I give respect whether or not it’s professional and when you get there too, do what seems right to you.

Make everybody do wetin dey like. Like I said earlier, everyone has their different opinions and it’s okay to respect it.

As other cultures not being experienced or functioning already? The Africanism is us can't just leave us totally, in a seminary and UBA standard addressing with first name has been the standard so how does it wrong when calling a spade a spade ?
