<p>I was scrolling and when I saw the title, I was so shocked, I had to click on it.</p><p>I never knew this was a practice at all, not to talk of it happening in various parts of Africa.</p><p>The mothers do it to protect their girls but the consequence or complications over time isn't worth it.</p><p>And it's not the girls who need to change, it's the men's values and mindset...</p><p>Puberty is natural. Why make the girls suffer because of it?</p><p>This is really sad.</p>
