<p>This hit me right in the chest.</p><p>The line "Gratitude is the cruelest feeling of all" is devastating because it's so painfully true. We don't realize what we had until we can't reach it anymore. And that guilt of "I should have appreciated more when you were here" becomes its own kind of weight.</p><p>"One step forward, three steps back" is exactly how grief moves. You think you're healing, then a memory, a voice, a scent, and suddenly you're right back at square one. It's not linear. It never is.</p>
