<p>There’s a specific kind of exhaustion that runs through this…the kind where you still have things to say but no energy left to say them.</p><p>“Hold my mouth, oh silence” captures that tension perfectly, the desire to speak warring with the weight that keeps you quiet.</p><p>The last few lines are what linger though. That moment when someone looks at you but looks right through you, then turns away having already decided who you are.</p><p>It’s not a loud rejection. It’s a quite erasure.</p>
