<p>This comment was supposed to be in two sections but I have too much to say.</p><p>The festival was about control. It was about reminding women that their bodies are not their own, that the streets belong to men, that safety is conditional.</p><p>I think about the women that had stepped out to get something, to see a friend or simply be. They instantly became preys.</p><p>I think about how they know the faces of the men that hurt them…friends, acquaintances, people that they trusted.</p>
