<p>I’m not sure whether to repeat my opinion on this matter…lol</p><p>But all in all, choose yourself. Choose your career. But it comes with the cost of loosing the bond you have with your brother. You’d have to work twice as hard to repair that bond when you get back home.</p>

I get your point and I like that you didn’t sugarcoat the cost.

I think what stood out to me while writing it is that sometimes it’s not even about “repairing” anything later… it’s the gradual shift that happens while you’re away.

But you’re right, every choice here comes with a price. The real question is which one you’re willing to carry after the moment has passed.
