I can really relate to this. I’ve always been on my own and I’ve always enjoyed my own company. Not because I didn’t have friends but there’s just a type of peace and serenity that comes with being in my head. When I was still in secondary school, a teacher thought I had a “condition.” I was bullied a lot and some people tagged it as “pride.” And all I wanted was just to be on my own.

It affected my mental health and confidence significantly. Fast forward to now, I don’t care anymore…

I’m glad you got to a point where you stopped letting other people’s misunderstanding define you. There’s nothing wrong with finding peace in your own head. Sometimes solitude isn’t isolation, it’s where you finally get to hear yourself without everyone else talking over you.

Keep that peace. You didn’t owe anyone a more socially acceptable version of yourself. ❤️💐
