<p>It is quite disheartening that this is what has become of Nigerians. I had to delete Twitter at some point because it seemed as though bad and devastating news had become the order of the day, and my tiny heart simply could not take it anymore.</p><p>I hope that one day we emerge from this numbness, myself included. We cannot continue to drift through life like leaves carried by a river’s current, indifferent to the blows along its way.</p>
