What I painted through the poem is an event that took place in the life of Chimmamand Adichie. She travelled abroad to collect an honorary degree and while going back the driver assigned to the car that will drive her home said something that carries discrimination of colour and gender( i added this one). The last stanza talks about how she won the battle in silence and through her writing (she writes a lot about gender and racial discrimination). I presented myself as the spirit.
