Why Is Sex Education A Difficult Topic For Parents To Discuss With Their Children?

Inioluwa Adeyeye Student @ Redeemers University Ibadan 10 months, 2 weeks ago

Growing up as a girl, my mum avoided the sex talk. Many parents learned through experience, premarital or in marriage, without proper guidance. Religion also played a role; churches preach keeping the marriage bed undefiled, so parents fear such talks defile it. A stigma was built to silence us, but maybe it’s time we break it, so the next generation can learn without shame.
