I will still say this, men destroyed patriarchy by themselves. Let me not say destroy but our it in a position that alot of women now are too scared and worried for their future. But I am certain that there are still good men out there.

@khadijahmohammed You’re right, good men exist. We’re grounded in provision; you won’t catch men seriously telling each other to abandon that duty. It’s in our wiring.

But here’s the thing, conversations with women often feel one-sided. Too many times it’s question after question, like an interrogation, without the same effort to give back. Dialogue isn’t just extracting answers, it’s building connection. Women could do better at making conversations feel mutual, not transactional.

Succinctly put. Lol.

Getting the bag should not change a woman's goal in/need for marriage.

....comes easy.

Lastly, the part where I said "that used to be so and still is.. " as regards women still prioritizing money when entering relationships...

What I was talking about is "hypergamy" ... in that even women who have the bag still want men who they can "look up to" financially...women "date up".

So while money still plays an important role in "how women select men" (and rightly so) ... it should not be the main goal of getting married

..that should always be love and family.

It's so simple.

Both genders should be good people.

Men be good, women be good.

Men don't oppress your wives, don't put them down, don't dismiss her opinions, don't get jealous when she wins in life...or earns more etc.

Women don't imbibe all the feminist BS out there, love your husband, take care of your family, get the bag, win in life, go to MIT or Standord if you want, start a business or a startup, you can do all and still be a great mom and wife.

Will it be easy? Nope. Nothing good or great...

Thanks for the additional clarification...

But ALL straight women need men to have a family.

The only way you're having a family as a woman without a man is if you're a lesbian, a single mom or by adoption (Charlize Theron. Lol).

...and all of those cases are far from ideal...with well documented negative consequences. Lol.

Also I never said women do relationships for monetary reasons, you did...or you suggested it.

What I said was a rebuttal to your statement.

...admit that that's simply not true, dear Khadija. Lol.

A woman's main reason for getting married shouldn't be to get rich or be financially secure...even though financial stability and security is super key in a marriage.

If she's doing it for the right reasons, it won't matter if she has the bag or not...

So saying that because women are getting the bag they don't need men any longer would suggest that the only reason y'all ever wanted to get married was for financial security?

I know a looot of financially secure women and even they will...

I think we are the prize to who want to be with us . So I agree with a few things that you have said but not all. And you have your reason to believe that women only relationships do monetary purpose but I believe that isn't the case for all.

So many examples...

Susan Wojcicki (YouTube's former CEO), Ibukun Awosika, Tara Durotoye, Sheryl Sandberg (Meta's former COO) are some high-achieving women that are married.

Now do some divorce? Yup. Sometimes marriage doesn't work out. But this doesn't invalidate anything.

What's my overall point?

Indomt think I explained this well. Let me rephrase. Alot of women now dont need men. Alot of women don't need men to have a family. But at thr same time, there are still women that want men and need men. Whether its for momentary purposes or any other reason, they need men. Men are not useless, well, not all are. And just as alot women despite achieving everything, want to be married and all, there are still men who want the same or truly, are men actually the prize? To me no, not technically.

For example, last week..someone I know shared photos of his sister's wedding...she went to Harvard Business School and I think Imperial College before that for her masters and her husband did a masters at UPenn (Wharton)....

I can categorically say that she didn't get married for sex or "cruise" .... but she actually wanted a man.

There's tons of women that have incredible success and still get married for the right reasons...because they want incredible families and to be loved etc.

....

...because for them it was never about marrying for the bag or depending on a man for money etc.

Are there women who don't want to get married at all? Yup.

Don't want kids or a family? Yup

Is the number of such women increasing globally? Yup.

But overall, these women are in the minority (globally)...the "west" has pushed this propaganda hard and many people have internalized it...

Point is, even with the bag and lots of success..most women still want to get married and have families etc.

..look for trouble if anything.

The last thing is the thing you said about women not needing men for much except maybe sex...

This is assuming that the main reason why women want to get married or enter relationships is monetary...

...that used to be so (and infact still is, but more on that later)..

But the biggest reason why women want to get hitched is love and companionship (and kids for some)...

I know many women who have the bag are married or want to get married...

..record.

What the Bible was saying there is that in the last days (the current days we live), women will have their own stuff (this is happening #independentWomen Lol) but they will still want a man's NAME...what does wanting someone's name mean?

Well, it means marriage...meaning that after all their getting the bag and having their own stuff..

They'd still want to get hitched..

...and disproportionately so.

But that's that. I wasn't really holding on to that much I just said it to...

You're right.

And thanks for saying that there are still good men out there. First because it's true and second because it means you're willing to not be part of the problem by being a bad woman because men are bad.

So that's great.

Next is what you said in the previous comment about the scripture verse I quoted. Like I said I was being a little troublesome by quoting it..

I wasn't basing my entire point on it...if anything "I just dey find people mouth".

But just to explain it for the...
