Well, there are simple questions to ask like, what is the source of your information?

That question alone can give way to other unanswered worries, causing the initial sharer to question themselves on the credibility of their information.

Also, one can ask when it was published, no matter the source. But you see the source? It is the most important, and as a citizen, you can help your community by verifying yourself and debunking it. It's quite a simple process.
