<p>As much as I want to understand your point, I can’t deny the fact that respect is a virtue in Africa. Additionally, in that kind of formal setting, it is fine to follow the normal tradition, I mean courtesy by addressing him in a polite manner. This is Nigeria, not abroad. Lastly, Tony even handled it well, it might have been something else if it was a man of culture, perhaps a struggling successful man: those that demands for respect as if it’s their right.</p>
