<p>It's called courtesy to call someone with a title and usually their surnames when you want to address them, even in western world, they have to give you a permission to call them by their first name before you use it, especially not in a formal gathering that is also a public space.</p><p>A Miss or Mr. Or Mrs. and surname is the most appropriate thing to call someone in a formal gathering or even meeting for the first time....let's not forget that even an English man Knows what Courtesy means.</p>
