<p>This piece really made me pause. Beyond the anger and shock, what stood out to me is how deeply culture, gender expectations, and upbringing can shape the way people see human beings. The part about women being treated as something that can simply be “replaced” when they grow older is especially disturbing.</p><p>I also agree that we need to separate culture from religion and question traditions that cause harm instead of blindly defending them.</p>
