<p>I really liked how calm this chapter felt because the calmness itself carried a lot of tension. Nothing dramatic was happening on the surface, but you could tell Nimmat had already emotionally checked out of the marriage. Her going to Mama’s house, returning, having dinner with Amir and barely asking about his trip made it obvious that something had shifted inside her. I especially liked the wedding ring scene because it wasn't dramatic</p>
