<p>This felt less like a poem about lust and more like a confession. The guilt in the speaker’s voice was so strong, especially in “I had fallen in battle” and “Unchain me instead.” I also liked how the poem showed the struggle between desire, faith and conscience without pretending the speaker had everything figured out. There’s a lot of rawness in this one. ❤️</p>
