<p>This was disturbing in the best storytelling sense.</p><p>The way Rogers speaks so calmly makes him far more terrifying than if he was shouting or acting like a monster. The line, "I murdered a stranger.</p><p>She only became someone's child after she died," genuinely made me pause. That's the kind of dialogue that stays with a reader.</p><p>This is proving that horror isn't about gore alone; it's about psychology. I'm hooked already, but I definitely wasn't ready for that ending. 😭🔥</p>
