I think every writer have felt this way one way or the other but what I would suggest is, write during your flow state.For some it's imagination and then the story line grows, for some it's deep research and for some it's everyday life.As long as you can put your thoughts into words and know how to express ideas, I would call you a writer.Also this might also just be a phase too. We scribbled before we even learnt to read. Just do you, the rest will catch up naturally.
