<p>Adoption in Africa and in Nigeria in particular, sounds like an abomination. To me, I find it wild that in this present century and height of education, we still cluster to such thinking and stigma.</p><p>Sometimes I do have such conversations with my friends and when they bring in the African perspective into it, I just lose it 😑.</p>

I’m just seeing this, so sorry for the late reply. And I totally agree and don’t see the sense in some of the behaviors we exhibit as “typical” Nigerians. The world is moving forward and perpetually leaving Nigerians behind.
