<p>The part about authenticity being packaged really got me. Because at this point, how do we even know what is genuine anymore? Someone can genuinely be clueless, someone can pretend to be clueless for views, and someone else can pretend to be intelligent for the same reason. Social media has made performance very difficult to separate from personality.</p>

And we end up treating both sides the same way, because we've been conditioned to believe everything is content.
