<p>She wasn’t wrong for speaking from what she understands; the bigger question is why that was the topic and what we’re teaching young people to think about. I also agree that authenticity shouldn’t mean we stop questioning the ideas we put out. Being yourself is great, but being yourself while learning, thinking and growing matters too.</p>
