<p>The thing about nostalgia is that it can make you forget why something ended.</p><p>You remember the laughter, the little moments, how loved you felt, and for a few minutes you almost forget that the same reality you're missing doesn't exist anymore.</p><p>I think that's why it can be so difficult to let go. You're not only saying goodbye to a person. You're saying goodbye to a version of your life that felt safe and familiar.</p>
