It is called "used" when both the male and the female agree to be in a relationship, only for the female to find out some day that the guy is actually involve with another. And let's not forget that it can also work the other way round with the female acting that same way.

It all goes down to actually valuing yourself, and respecting your partner, setting boundaries as well.
