Nigeria's civil war remains one of the things that runs through my mind, who was wrong? could it all have been avoided?. Indeed, the pain is gone but the scars remain, I hope when we see the scars we are reminded of how much we had to suffer and teach it on to the coming generation. Perhaps, it would be a reminder that such must not repeat itself.

You're correct that war shouldn't be seen as normal. It's a catastrophic failure of human relationships, often resulting in immense suffering, destruction, and loss of life. Yet, as you noted, when selfish interests overwhelm sanity, war can become the tragic consequence.

Looking at history, I think war is something that was unavoidable. It was just an expression of mans's insatiable and selfish desires. Something so catastrophic shouldn't be seen as normal, but when men allow their selfish interests to overwhelm sanity, we see things like war surfacing.

Yes, we must try to get along. War is bad, peace is good. We must forgive and forget, but also remember so it doesn't happen again. Let's all be friends and live in peace.
