Omo, I wish twocents had a voice note feature. I have a lott to say on this topic.I don't believe you can ever truly separate a life of work from it's creator. It's just not possible.For example, anytime I hear Chris Brown's voice, I already know the types of things he did, the women he harassed and I just can't listen to it anymore.When I hear Nicki Minaj, I just click next (I even stopped her songs from coming up on my spotify)Same with other artists you've mentioned.

And, I've yet to see a work good enough to make me start trying to justify criminal activities.

It's like saying we should be friends with pedophiles because they are good people if you take the "pedophile" part out.

The main koko of the matter is we know who these people are, we know what they did, and to ignore that is a tell to the kind of person we are.

Listening to the work of an abuser, a pedophile, a racist, should make you uncomfortable.

Ignoring these things for the sake of art only creates a safe space for those responsible to keep committing such travesties.
