<p>I don't completely agree sha.</p><p>When we say “society did this,” it isn't always something that we as individuals, actively created. Societal beliefs can be long-standing norms and traditions that have existed before many of us were even born. A group of people deciding that something is “right” or “wrong,” “normal” or “abnormal,” doesn't mean every person who comes after them consciously chose to uphold that belief.</p>

However, I understand where you are coming from. We are still part of society, and our actions can either reinforce or challenge these norms.
