<p>I totally understand where this piece is coming from, everyone wants to start comparing their pain with someone else's.</p><p>However, it's a double edge sword, passively listening to someone can come across as being uninterested in their pain, and maybe the "listener" is trying to say "I've been there too" or "you're not alone"</p><p>I think this is why we should all have our person, someone you know would be there the way you want them to.</p>
