<p>I loved this story from the very first paragraph!</p><p>So vivid and respectful was the description of the traditional Ijaw marriage introduction. Too bad her in-laws couldn't appreciate the beautiful blend of cultures and wanted to erase her language instead. I love that she only said those fierce words in her head, but her action of packing her bags and leaving was the loudest statement she could have made.</p>
