That's really the issue. We all know abuse exists, yet we're quick to forget, society is even quicker to defend. There's this deep sense of entitlement to women's bodies that has been existed throughout history.

I think the first step is teaching children that a woman is more than her body. So when something like this happens, there's a collective horror like why "would he do that?" and not "what did she do?"
